Arts Festival

Every year in September Fillmore holds an arts festival in the park. We try to go to it each year. This year we started the day off with lunch. There are a bunch of different food booths set up in the park, and its always nice to eat something different for lunch for a change.

Mike had worked all night, and then went straight to work for my dad when morning came, he was finishing up helping my dad at lunch time so he came to join us for lunch before he went home to bed for a couple hours before he went back to work all night. He amazes me at how hard working he is, and how important it is to him to provide for our family, he is a great provider for our family and I am very lucky to be married to him.

They always have wagon rides, that my kids don't let us leave without going on at least one.

We did get a bit of a fast paced ride when they set off a cannon right infront of the horses, but luckily the horses never got too upset.

There is always plenty of yummy treats to choose from too.

Dakota tried the log sawing, he got pretty far but he tuckered out after awhile. Brielle and Malia took a turn later and they sawed the whole log all by themselves, they can be pretty determined.

The kids also tried out these pioneer games.

To finish off our day at the arts festival we went into the old school house where the kids got to make a couple of art projects to take home.
