Painted Sandwiches

We made painted sandwices this week. The kids had a lot of fun doing it. You put a few drops of food coloring into a couple of tablespoons of milk and then let the kids use the milk as paint to paint pictures on thier bread. ( I got paintbrushes at True Value for 25 cents.) After the bread is painted you put it in the toaster to dry, and then you make your sandwich how ever you want.

I was a slacker this year on St. Patricks Day, but Brielle had me covered. I thought about doing some fun things but I never did end up planning anything, but when Brielle got home from school she made up some green clues, hid them, and told Dakota that a Leprechaun had left them. Dakota followed all the clues and found a treasure at the end!! What a creative little girl!

The treasure was some candy and toys. Happy St.Patricks Day!!!.

Our first taste of spring!!

Saturday was such a nice day! I love the sunshine, and so did my kids they played outside all day, they made a city in our backyard and they had a blast doing it!

This is Haydens Lumber yard.

Brielle made a rock shop. And they made roads all over.

Shawn grated the road by our house and all of the kids wanted to go ride with him, so he stuffed Brielle, Dakota, Degan, and Kaidence in there with him.

I made cupcakes in the afternoon and set up a table in the backyard so the kids could decorate them.

Yum!!

I made colorburst cupcakes, my kids love these, I made them in Spring colors this time but I actually think they look better in primary colors.

For dinner we made a fire in the fire pit, and the kids roasted hot dogs, and chocolate marshmallows that we found at Duanes. Delicious!!!

Dakota's Wrestling

Dakota did wrestling this year and he LoVeD it! He was so cute he always had a huge grin on his face, it didn't matter if he was on the bottom or the top. He loves to wrestle and he would count down the days all week until his wrestling practices and matches.
